I was in Atlanta Monday night staying at the Marriott. It is one of those hotels with glass elevators and balconies that wrap around the open shafts. By the way, I noticed that the balconies had safety extensions. I wonder if anyone ever thought of taking a dive from one of them? The builders were probably more concerned with the safety of children, but that shows you where my mind was Monday night.
My room was on the 23rd floor. I had trouble with my key so while I was waiting for help, I spent some time leaning on the wall of the balcony. There was something overwhelming about the view. Was it all the bright colors or the mere repetition that made me dizzy?
